DOU reinstates its annual ranking of IT universities, which this year is based on three metrics:
- salary survey data for professionals;
- their knowledge of English;
- students’ and alumni’s impressions of the educational process and its results, and whether they would be willing to recommend their university to others
Rating of IT-universities 2023: who tops it
The first place, as in the ratings of previous years, is taken by the Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). It confidently leads in all three indicators.
Second place went to the Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, which is also often in the lead.
Among Kyiv universities in the top five are the Shevchenko National University and National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
The average salary of IT graduates at Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics is $2,950. 56% of students know English at a high level and 80% are willing to recommend KhNUE to their friends.
The publication reported that the majority of students and graduates (77%) working in IT, advise applicants to enroll exactly in Ukrainian universities. A smaller proportion of respondents – 17% – believe that it is better to study abroad.
