H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University (KhNPU) is one of the oldest pedagogical educational institutions in Ukraine, founded in 1933. The university has a high status and IV level accreditation and today is a scientific and educational complex that includes 47 educational institutions.
Among them there are 7 institutes, such as the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Institute of Economics and Law, the Institute of Arts, the Institute of World Languages, the Institute of Primary Education, the Institute of Ukrainian Cossacks and the Institute of Postgraduate Education. The university also includes 14 faculties and 54 departments. More than 15 thousand students study at the University, including graduate students, doctoral students and preparatory department students. The teaching staff numbers more than 600 professors and teachers.
The university is actively developing international cooperation, signing cooperation agreements with educational institutions in various countries, including the UK, Turkey, the Netherlands, Norway, Ghana, Italy, Romania, Brazil and many others. This cooperation includes joint scientific projects and mobility of students and teachers. In 2021, the University entered into 17 agreements with foreign educational institutions.
H.S. Skovoroda KhNPU is constantly strengthening its role in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres of Ukraine. It is focused on creating high-quality education, adapted to world standards, and helping to strengthen the authority of Ukraine in the world. The university is developing dynamically and continues to expand its capabilities to provide high-quality education and research.
The University is constantly introducing new promising specialties, as well as modernizing the areas of educational, research centers and laboratories. This process is aimed at maintaining the relevance of education and introducing innovative teaching methods. H.S. Skovoroda KhNPU aims to train highly qualified teaching staff and researchers who can not only influence the Ukrainian educational system, but also actively participate in the global educational and scientific community.
