Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force

Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force is an important educational institution specializing in training highly qualified personnel for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This prestigious university is the largest military educational institution in the country.

The university manages the 203rd training aviation brigade, which is located in the city of Chuguev, Kharkiv region. This air brigade is equipped with modern aircraft, including the L-39, An-26 and An-26Sh, which provides high-quality practical training for future military specialists.

Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force provides educational programs in nine different areas and eighteen specialties that directly prepare specialists for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the university is actively involved in research and development of space technology, and its graduates have successfully served in the Air Force and participated in peacekeeping operations. Since its founding, the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force has made a significant contribution to the training of more than 125,000 officers who serve and protect the interests of Ukraine.

The university is also proud of its contribution to space exploration. Many pilot-cosmonauts, including world-famous graduate Alexei Arkhipovich Leonov, the first man to walk in outer space, mastered the basics of flight and cosmonaut and astronaut training at this university.

Graduates of the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force took an active part in various peacekeeping operations in different parts of the world, and also carried out important missions related to the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.
