Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy

Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy (KhSZA) is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Ukraine, founded in 1930. The academy specializes in training professionals in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, biotechnology, and environmental management. KhSZA comprises three faculties: the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Animal Production Technologies and Management, and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Environmental Management. The academy also has a department for part-time and distance learning, providing flexible education options.

For international students, KhSZA has an International Students Department that offers support at all stages of study. The academy actively collaborates with international educational institutions from Lithuania, Germany, Bulgaria, Belarus, and other countries, offering students opportunities to participate in international programs and internships. Students also have the chance to study foreign languages and computer technologies.

KhSZA boasts modern infrastructure, including 12 academic buildings, a scientific library with over 238,000 volumes, an animal husbandry and crop production training complex, and an educational and production equestrian sports complex. Four dormitories, accommodating up to 650 students, are available for student residence. The academy also offers opportunities for internships abroad and further education in postgraduate studies.
