Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University is a self-governing (autonomous) state higher legal educational institution of IV level of accreditation.
Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University is included in the TOP 15 best universities in Ukraine. On the basis of bilateral agreements, the university has developed extensive international relations with partners from 20 countries. The university participates in joint European projects within the framework of the Tempus-Tacis program and many other international programs.
Today, about 14 thousand students study at the university. Currently at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University has 1,500 foreign students from 36 countries around the world.
The university conducts scientific research on fundamental and applied problems of jurisprudence, develops 17 targeted comprehensive programs in four scientific areas, and has established well-known scientific schools, known in Ukraine and abroad.
The university makes a great contribution to improving the rule of law in Ukraine, improving the legislative and law enforcement processes. University scientists were directly involved in the development of the current Constitution of Ukraine and other laws and regulations, and actively influence law enforcement practice in the country. The University cooperates with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Presidential Secretariat, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, ministries and departments, local governments in the legislative sphere. Many university scientists are consultants, members of advisory councils of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, the Supreme Economic Court, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs,
The university occupies a leading position in domestic legal education. This is confirmed by the results of the Ukrainian ranking of higher educational institutions “Compass”, which takes into account the rating of employers and graduates, according to which the university is a leader among legal educational institutions in Ukraine.
